Call for March 2010 Riff-Off Contestants

Since the February 2010 Riff-Off is just a few days from coming to a close, I'd like to open up the next Riff-Off to contestants. I already have three primaries, which means I'm accepting contestants for the remaining thirteen primary slots and four alternate slots, sixteen slots in all.

If you want to be in the March 2010 Riff-Off, you must PM me your battle name. If you participated in the February 2010 Riff-Off, your battle name must be different to preserve anonymity.

Battle slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. DO NOT offer to compete if you cannot commit to providing four different riffs over the course of the tournament. You must email me your Round 1 riff by next Sunday, February 28, at 9:00 AM EST. Any primary entries received after the deadline will be disqualified and replaced by an alternate's entry.

In order to give more players a chance to participate, preference will be given to contestants who have not participated in previous Riff-Offs.

You can find detailed Riff-Off rules here. The rules for the March 2010 Riff-Off will be the same as the current month's—we will use the score-averaging process.

NOTE: The winner of the Riff-Off Title Bout currently holds the title of SDUGF Riffologist Supremö and is exempt from the March 2010 Riff-Off. The Riffologist Supremö will defend his title against the February 2010 Riff-Off champion in a one-on-one title bout. The winner of that bout then carries the Riffologist Supremö title, and must defend it in a title bout following the March 2010 Riff-Off, and so on. I will post details on the showdown time later.
