    Default How close are they?

Really, how close is the Air Zone to the bridge pickup found in the Music Man Axis? Is it spot on, in the same ballpark, or just sorta there?

From what I've read... Very Close.

Notice I said Read... not heard.

This was an interview from a Dimarzio guy... Can't recall the name.

The Air Zone is a Tone Zone with a gap between magnet & polepieces on both coils (DiMarzio's "Air" technology).

The pickup in the EVH was said to be a half-aired Tone Zone. Half-air meaning air gap on one of the pickup's coils.

(Note, same thing in neck. Air Norton vs Norton, EBMM used a half-aired Norton in the neck)
