Default Anybody for slightly underwound PRails?

I for one would love a slightly underwound Prails set. The stock set sounds good but the series position is a little hot and could be brought down a little and maybe brighten it up too. So what percent of underwind do you think would be nice? 3%, 5%??

Exactly! That's the beauty of the P-Rails. If you want slight underwound and brightness, switch to the P-90. If you want a different bright sound, switch to the rail. If you want a more powerful sound, switch to the hum.

Actually, they also have a HOTTER P-Rails. Can't imagine why you'd want less.

Yeah, I get what you guys are saying but I am talking specifically about the series sound. It's a little too hot and dark for me and I don't think the other sounds are good enough to stand on their own personally. They are good but not great. I need a great HB sound first and then the other sounds are icing on the cake IMHO.

I would say get two neck versions. Take one of those and change the outer magnet of the P90 to a Alnico 3. This is the neck pup then.
    Just a thought.

Try lowering the pickup a bit to reduce the output level, and tweak your EQ to take care of the darkness.

Also try the full humbucker wired in parallel. I don't have experience with it, but from what I've heard it sounds more like a PAF in parallel.
You can run over a Tele with a pickup truck, pick it up - and it'll still play out of tune
