    Default hsh wiring question

    Hello,

I have a stratocaster with a Duncan JB in the bridge and a little '59 in the neck, i want to put in a push pull pot so i can split them both to single coil. Is it possible to do this with only one push pull? Can i just use both of the sides of the pot to do this, or do i need to wire it some other way?

Yes you can. You basically solder all the red and white wires together and solder them to the middle lug of the PP. then you will ground the lug above lug you have wired the reds and whites.

i have another question. On the diagram it says if the middle pickup is a fender one, i have to reverse the black and green wire. When i installed these pickups on the diagrams included with these pickups it didnt say this is needed. Do i have to do this aswell, or isnt this necessary?

Duncan and Fender pickups are wired inversely, so yeah, you do have to swap the green and black of the Duncans (or the black and white of the fender) if that's what you're using.

ok, so i have to reverse the wires. But why is that? What does the wiring of my bridge pickup have to do with the middle? Because when i put these pickups in and just followed the instructions on the diagram included with the pickup, they worked normaly. Not that i dont trust your anwser, its just that im curious why this is.

    Polarity

    Fender's start south pole first

    Duncan's start north pole first
