Wow, for metal/hardcore music, you guys are pretty sick! I think the stuff sounds great. I can see this being really popular and it looks like you guys have quite the promotional team. The website looks great as well.

I got out of the hardcore scene a while ago - Memphis ruined me on it - but you guys are really, really good for what you do. And to play to with DEP....man, that should be a blast.

sounds like things are really taking off, that's awesome! it was like an internet sensation that spread its wings and took off to soar. aside from you guys and Job for a Cowboy, I can't think of too many other metal bands that used the internet to build such a huge fanbase pre-debut album release so successfully.

hopefully the instrumental disc isn't like the singer's worst nightmare come to life. some singers feel the band ain't the band without their pipes over the music.

Bulb's music was mostly sans vocal a few years ago, and it was always engaging and badass then.

Misha, you are quite the talented composer!

Yeah, Periphery has really understood the possibilities of promotion with today's technology. You're'nt only great players, but also smart business folks!

Vox are cool with Periphery and stuff, but honestly, what's special about these guys is that their music can stand on its own without vox if need be. That's quite a feat.

Bulb, is Periphery gonna be launched on Spotify, like Animals As Leaders and Veil of Maya, etc.?

Ill have to find out about this spotify thing!

    Now in other news:
The Canadian Preorder Package for Periphery's debut is now up as well!!
http://mymerchtable.com/store/produc...cat=318&page=1 (the regular album with a shirt)
    http://mymerchtable.com/store/produc...cat=318&page=1 (the regular album)
Way cheaper for all our Canucks out there who dont w...ant to pay international shipping, just keep in mind this is the regular version of the album, the deluxe 2 cd version with instrumental version of the album is currently available from Sumerian only at this point in time!

Still waiting on the UK/Europe preorder info from Roadrunner, but i do know the album is coming out on May 10th out there, so it looks like those of you who were worried about the album coming 2 weeks late may still get it earlier!

Yeah, you could hear what Tosin's rationale for putting it out there is.. I have no idea if it's advantageous for you guys, but I figure it could be a good way of promoting yourselves.

Me, too. This is very cool. I've been following Misha's work for a few years now, and have been anticipating an album for a long time.

Ya know....I hate to be the a-hole here, but.......oh well.....here goes. Bulb, I think that you are without a doubt one of the greatest guitar players I've ever heard in my life. You're not really my style per se, but you really are great. I wish I had half of the talent which you have.

However, I personally feel that you really spam the hell out of this forum with your music. There's nothing wrong with that at all, except for the fact that you never contribute anything else. Maybe I'm wrong?

Dude, you are one hell of a musician!! However, it just kind of gets old just seeing you spamming this place with your songs, playing, what's up with the band, and whatever. Now don't get me wrong, I can handle it somewhat.....But, I just wish you would contribute more to this forum instead of just having threads about the new songs, cd, tour and the like.

I promise you that I'm not trying to come across as a bad guy here. Once again, I'd like to state just how badass of a musician/guitar player that I think you are. I'm happy as hell for your success man....I really am.

It's just that I think with all of your knowledge with amps, guitars, playing techniques, recording, and the like....we'd really love to hear more about things than "here's my latest song, cd, or whatever".

Once again man, I hope you don't take any of this the wrong way. I know you're a great guitar player, and you're probably a great guy as well. I just think we'd all like to get to know you.

    thanks and take care,

    Jolly

I agree with that; I saw your show when I was in Austin, I just dont dig that you spam various forumz with the same exact email about your band, Im sure youd have success anyway, just not sure what your really gaining out of it...

Apologies if i have offended anyone as that was not my intent. You are right, i have pretty much used this forum for shameless plugs, to be honest i just havent had the time i once did even for the forums i post on regularly, and i just cant guarantee that i would be able to post in an acceptable contributory fashion on any sort of regular basis.
These threads have really been just a notifications for people who may be potentially interested in what is going on with our band and it always seems to be more effective posting on forums rather than relying on people to check up on you, but if you guys feel its not right and would rather i stop then i will completely respect that and refrain from posting band updates and songs when they are up.

"Not that there's anything wrong with that"

I appreciate your retort man. I understand that you don't have the time, and actually I meant to write that in my original post. Thanks.....

I'd just like to get to know you man. That's pretty much all I was sayin. I don't mean to speak for everyone else on this forum, but I do think alot of us here would just love to get to know you and get your take on pickups, amps, playing style, your influences, and the like.

We're pretty decent guys I think.

Talk to us when you get the chance.

I definitely see Jolly's point of view.

That being said, there are a handful of members here that whenever I see their posts, I know that now I'll have to read something completely worthless (of course, some might think the same whenever they see a Tor post - it's just how it is ).

Whenever I see a bulb post, my expectations rise, and I know my ears will be in for a treat.

That's the way he contributes - with his music in the T&C room. We? We're just talking about music and everything else. It's truly inspirational to see someone who actually has big dreams for his music, and wants to work so hard to realize them. I consider his posts much more valuable than some people that post stuff that doesn't really add anything worthwhile for me.

We don't have that many musicians using this forum for "shameless plugs". I think at the rate we have now, is pretty good. We shouldn't have much more of the same, but for the time being I think it's all right.

Again, I definitely see Jolly's PoV, but it all boils down to time, time, time..
