Help with pickup selection for Esp LTD EC1000

I have 4 ESP LTD EC 1000 guitars 3 of which came w/EMG's the other with a JB in the bridge and I think a '59 in the neck... I am not a fan of the tone like I am the set up... To me the guitars sound closer to an SG than a LP. I am looking for that warm LP tone with a good amount of output....but I do not at all like actives. What advice can you guys give me???

if you want a bigger PAF style tone from the bridge, ditch the jb and get a PATB-3 in there. Technically, it's designed to make thin bodied, floyded axes sound like LP's, but it also works great in LP's for a thicker, hotter tone while keeping the trademark, old LP sound and character.

I would try a custom first, paf on steriods tone and matches well with a 59n.

I finally settled on a super d and A5 super 2 in my EC400AT.

Duncan Custom in the bridge. You'll probably want the TB-5.
