Default HB cleans with a strat

I need to make my strat a monster at pristine clean tones. I've got another guitar for the rock/metal so I want this one to ring like a bell. Right now its got a classic stack plus in the neck, Fender CS54 middle and a Custom Custom bridge. The CC's character meshes perfectly with this guitar clean or distorted, but I imagine there's a better pickup for clean only work. And a lower output pickup would match better with the other pups in the guitar.

So what do you guys think? The guitar in question is a 94 USA peavy strat with a poplar body and maple fretboard. Its a inherently bright/tight guitar which is why it seems to like the CC so much. I was thinking about trying the AP2 but I'm also really curious about the PATB3 or any other mellow vintage pickup.

The PCb does well in a superstrat. I had one in my floyded Godin paired with a couple of APS-2's and it did very well for clean and distorted work.

In my opinion you really can't beat a good old '59 for sparkly humbucker tones, especially in a strat. If it's a bright guitar then it might get a little trebley for you but you can solve that with an A4 magnet, or maybe even just a nickel cover. I'm not sure how good it would be split though, it's kinda low-output.
    I remember calloused hands and paint-stained jeans, and I remember safe-as-houses self-belief.

Honestly, I really liked the A2P's cleans a lot in my Les Paul. Idk how people rock the PGb in a Strat seeing how I thought it had too much presence when it was in my Les Paul. I liked the PGn though, but anyways if you liked the CC I'd say go A2P because it doesn't have that upper mid presence the PGb has. If you liked the CC I'd say the A2P would be a better transition then going to a PGb. You might not like those upper mids the PGb has.

To the OP what kind of amp are you using? I run my Strat through a Princeton Reverb Reissue which is clean damb near all the way up the dial with a Pearly Gates bridge.
    Oh my God! ,Whatever ,Etc.

I run an ENGL screamer 50 head through an avatar cab with v30/h30 mix. Its a high gain amp but it actually has a very nice clean channel.

Is the PG bridge bright or rounded off on the top end? The pickup I need should have soft highs rather than sharp ones.
