    Default Anyone know fret size on USA SG Standard?

    Trying to figure out the difference of a USA SG compared to a VOS DC JR?

    Pretty sure they use Dunlop 6105's.

    Good idea. Called them up and here is what I got

    USA SG: .055 x .090 which does work out to 6105s

    LP DC JR: disclaimer from service rep this is BEFORE pleking .100 x .100

    I think they are switching to a larger fret size on certain guitars. My "newest" Gibson is a 2004 R0, but newer Historics seem to have bigger frets.

    I wonder if they changed because of Plek'ing?

    USA's seem to be the same size as in the past.

    I think the pleking has changed things. FYI.... my tech measured the fret height today and it came in at .046 on the VOS DC LP so they are pleking (milling) a whole bunch off of them frets.
