    Default Cab sim software

    Hi all,

I like to record my guitar by using my amp. The amp is connected directly to the sound card. Is there anybody to recommend a cabinet simulator software ?

Please don't advise POD etc... That kind of items cannot gimme the sound that I want...

    Thanks...

I use the cab only part of peavey revalver that gives pretty good results, although I may well give recabinet a try as it looks more what I'm after, plus it's cheap

How is Revalver? I've read some good things about it, but have read some bad things about support. I'm considering it, but I don't want to buy something that will end up being a dead end with no resale value.

I've got the HP version which, for some odd reason, is very noisy. According to peavey blurb this noise goes away if you get the full version.

I tend to use the speaker only part as it's very resource heavy, plus noisy.
Sounds pretty good mind, the it seems to have an endless list of peavey cabs to use of which I know nothing. Plus they are mainly 2 ich loaded models so not great for bass.

But Here's and example of what it can do.
