    Default Pot wired wrong????

I ran into an odd issue last night after installing a new alpha pot. The volume works backwards. When it is on "zero" it is at the loudest setting and at "10" it is silent. Is it the pot or did I screw something up when soldering???

I know they make pots for left handed guitars so maybe that it. I've never wired a pot the other way so who knows maybe thats it but I don't think pots work that way. I could be wrong though because like I've said I've never wired it backwards.

when lookin at the bottom of the pot
did you solder the left hand side to ground or the right

the right hand side makes it right handed
the left --- left handed --- or backwards

    swap em

I am sure I soldered the right but regardless of that I will switch them. I was concerned maybe the pots were defective but it sounds like a simple fix

    to clarify
looking down at the back of the pot
    with legs towards you
the one on the right to ground

    but yea
    either way
    swap em
    should sort it out

Swapping will work great for a linear taper pot. But if you have a left handed audio taper pot the swap will work but the taper will be screwed up.

No the knobs are good. They are the stock knobs that came with my epi. Th epots that were replaced worked just fine. I installed a blend pot so I am thinking I soldered a wire in the wrong slot

Ok, if they are the stock pots they are just wired wrong. Switch the wiring on the outside lugs.
