    Default Tele build complete!!!

Just finished intonating my new Tele, man it sounds beautiful.
The acoustic sound just blows my mind, and plugged into my
4x10 Bassman RI, Yeah!!! Just want to thank The Dali (Steve) for
the Gotoh bridge, Ringo (Mike) for the the sweet & cheap Squire
neck and SabbathFan0220 (Peter) for the CTS pots that pushed
the +10% tolerence. I'll post all the other parts used & some pics
tomorrow. I'm a little cross-eyed from all the soldering.
    I love Tele's. Thanks guys.

    Peace,

    Darrin

Supazar, your tele in your avatar pic is nearly identical to mine!

Man what a ****ing great axe. I've been playing it nonstop since I
finished it days ago. Just slapped on the straplocks so I can stand
up and dance while I play. Warmoth Swamp Ash (4.3lbs) body in
Daphne blue, Gotoh bridge, Squire neck, Dimarzio Twang King pups.
Shielded via guitarnuts, CTS pots at 275 & 276k. Switchcraft jack,
single ply black guard. I just love it. Better than I expected, and I have
pretty high standards. I don't know what to say, this is my first build
and it turned out friggin perfect. Plays like a dream. Thanks again
to forum bros (afore mentioned) who help this build become
    a reality. Thanks.

    Peace,

    Darrin

By the sound of my threads...mostly on Gibsons, I'm actually more of a fan of Fender strats and teles. I guess I'm a guy who's always on that 50 yard line between killer Gibsons and Fenders.....and it takes something special to grab my attention away from those 2.

Single coils is where my heart is when really digging in, but then I go to the dark side with humbucking Gibson and PRS's. I guess what I'm trying to say is that your life will be complete with a Strat, Tele, LP, 335, SG, Gretsch, and McCarty....plus acoustics.

Just go by that formula and you'll know what real tone is, and all you need to occupy your mind with guitarwise.....unless it get's corrupted with something else that detracts from the formula. Some here will know I'm right, and the rest will have a toneless formula that includes a bunch of stuff that I won't even mention, because I know there'll be a bunch of people whining about it.....trying to get their oddball piece of firewood with a licensed trem included into the mix! LOL

If you play guitar chest-high, you play from your heart.

If you play guitar waist-high, you play from your guts.

If you play guitar low, you play from your huevos.

    Hey Jonesy!,

Thanks for chiming in, I always appreciate you input. I've owned several LP's and
sold them all, not that I didn't like them, I'm guess I'm just a Fender
kinda guy. Sold off my beautiful PRS Custom 24 birds. Sold all my Jacksons.
I'm left with 3 Strats, 2 Hamers and my new Tele & a '70 Epi acoustic. I'm satisfied right now,
who know that may change tomorrow. We all know how that works.

    Peace,

    Darrin

Love the color. Is that Daphne Blue? That's one of my favorites. I always wanted a Tele with a finish like yours. Very nice!

    Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude...you're killing me here.

I'm planning a project Tele. And everytime I see an "I just finshed my/got a/ ordered a new Tele" thread I just grind my teeth and think "Eventually".

I'm wanting to make a butterscotch and black Power Nashville Tele with a mini-humbucker in the neck and (currently) a pair of Danny Gatton-style rail p'ups in the bridge and middle.
