got a new one up, this time it's the les paul with the new duncan distortion in it. the pickup kicks ass, great for downtuning!!! keeps great clarity and is chunkey as hell!!!

The lead track seems a bit dull and lifeless, as well as needing reverb.

Rythm tone sounds super high endy, grainy, less highs and presence.

Good playing, nonetheless! You really have to tame the highs with the DD, that little ****er just screams!

why dont you set it a bit more punchy? also, NOT downtuning that much would be good too...
sorry moom, dont be put down, but i really dont like this one. lacks definition, the playing is ok i guess, but the sound is meh

anyways, the guitar has got ernie ball not even slinky's 12-56 so i gotta downtune

and dont make this to be a work of art or something, i did it in less that 2 minutes. just that riff and put that off time solo to it

i guess this is what happens when i try to record from the line out of my amp

the tone really isnt there.. it's bassy, a lot of it comes from the downtuning. even if your EQ is set the oposite, it'll be muddy, it doesnt matter what the pups definition is.

record it the way you usually do and do a thought aproach at it and work on your tone..

but it is all probably because of the way you recorded as i know your early clips sucked in the ways of tone
