It's always a turn-off for me to travel to a weird city where I've never spent any time, to see a rock concert at night. I'd probably take a wrong turn somewhere and get killed and/or lost. Even worse, I'd be late to the show and miss the opening act and "very special guest" loser band I've never heard of. Who wants to take a chance like that?

for the record, I've never seen Aerosmith....my loss. However - much like KISS. Let's be real: we want to see them because we want to live in the 70's. Not that KISS doesn't have a life in the 80's/90's etc....But if they went on tour and did ONLY Sonic Boom and other hits (Lick it up, Heaven's on Fire, Forever) and maybe a few classics (detroit/lovegun/R&R all night) would you really care?

Aerosmith has two live also: seat of your pants drug-addled hard rock band of the highest caliber, and slick sticky sweet totally orchestrated pop hits machine. form San Paulo, I put and asterisk next to what I'd want to hear -

Last Night's Setlist in Sao Paulo, Brazil
    Eat The Rich
    *Back In The Saddle
    Love In An Elevator
Falling In Love (Is Hard On The Knees)
    Pink
    Dream On
    Livin' On The Edge
    Jaded
    *Kings And Queens
    Crazy
    Cryin'
    ---Drum Solo---
    *Lord Of The Thighs
    ---Guitar Hero Joe---
    Stop Messin' Around
    *What It Takes
    *Sweet Emotion
    *Baby Please Don't Go
    *Draw The Line
    ------------------------
    Walk This Way
    *Toys In The Attic

7 tunes? At WHAT price???? If I'm Aerosmith (and I'm not) I can put together a set that Rocks more or Pops more, but that is just meh in every way....

    Drum solo? WTF....

Rock my ass off, or sing a bunch of chic movie tunes, but make a decision either way!

    What a waste of time...

I wanted to see A'smith my whole life...I finally made it last year to the tune of nearly $200 a ticket, for not amazing seats and it was w/o a doubt the most disappointing show I've ever seen...ever.

I love Aerosmiths music and always will but i'll never give them another red cent for a live show again.

Steven Tyler shoud be ashamed of himself for the Atlanta show along last year...add to that the other half assed and wose shows of last years tour and he needs to kicked in the grapes...

I say that A'smith owes nearly a half dozen citys a make up show and then some...

Is Steven Tyler on this tour? I heard a while back that he was not, but I never followed up. I guess that's kind of what I'm doing now.
If it sounds good, it is good.

Tyler has been to rehab for his shoulder and leg injuries from last year's tour, ATL was the second show back from the leg injury before the shoulder happened, and he also has been to rehab for his addictive behaviors from the pain meds he took for the injuries. He left the band for a while only to play a few sporadic dates in the late Fall including a court ordered date in Hawaii. Needless to say Tyler's 61 year old body and Aerosmith in general kinda wishes 2009 hadn't happen in many ways I'm sure.

I've been a fan since 1974 so I have been along in many ways for the ride that is Aerosmith. I'm gonna hang on a lil longer cause they still got spunk. Some of the youtube from this past week's shows has been real spirited. Brad, Joe, Tom, and Joey got it going on and Steven sounds good. I'm biased though.

I understand all that and can easily give a band more than one chance but I gotta tell ya, the Atlanta show was way past pathetic...

I mean they only played 45 or so minutes, spent well over 20 minutes on some dumb ass Guitar Hero garbage and Steven complained and whined the whole show about how bad he was feeling...

There was a whole arena full of people that spent a lot of money on that show and to call it half @ss would be a step up from hat it was...as far as I'm concerned Aerosmith owes Atlanta a make up and and/or a full refund and an apology.

Aerosmith opened the "Just Push Play" tour in Hartford, CT and it was without a shadow of a doubt one of the best concerts I've EVER been to. They were spot on the entire night, Steven Tyler hit notes I didn't think was possible to do live on the spot and IIRC, they played a triple encore (which I've never seen a band do before and still haven't seen another band do it since). Those guys are seasoned veterans of the road and it shows. Maybe it was a magical night because it was the start of the tour, but they had an energy and an enthusiasm that's really difficult to match.

There are some bands that are poor live. I have to say Aerosmith was by far "not" one of them from my experiences.

You're right...I have several grea Asmith boots on DVD and live they are force and then some but seeing them live in person was such a let down I'll just never do it again...

Breaks my heart too becasue they are one of my favorite bands ever and one of the greatest American rock bands of all time...

hehe I was gonna say..and KISS is'nt? I saw them in their prime in the 70s....concert tickets are so overpriced, my recent concerts have been freebies i won or when my buddy can get me backstage...which is'nt often. In the recent GP mag, Perry said they are looking for a new singer? Oh well, they had a lot of sick tunes and Joe Perry kicks ass!

Gibson KS 336, LP Standard, Special and Customs
Bogner, Orange, Tech 21 and Fender amps
    Celestion speakers
Duncan, Bare Knuckle, WCR and Gibson pups
    Too many pedals....

Thumbs up Re: Aerosmith 2010 Tour

Joe was serious when he said that. That is what got Steven to start getting his head and body straight about early January. I truely belive they were trying guys out as there were several names bantered about like Sebatian Bach and the dude from Buckcherry. Seriously? Probably not but enough to make ole Steveareno to go whoa, that's my baby. They went on without Joe at one time he just got a chance to return the favor.

Then again Joe took the time off from Aerosmith to release a cd he had in the can and had a great run from November to mid April touring with Motley Crue in Canada, Bad Company in England, and club dates before that with his latest Joe Perry Project while Steven healed his body and mind. Coulda been a ruse all along.

2010 is the 40th anniversary of the earliest daze of Aerosmith, as I said I've been along for 36 of them come next month or so marking 36 years since my uncle got a copy of Get Your Wings and I heard it.

    Life IS Good!!

Really dont wanna be in the '70s I just still like the songs of my youth a ton. KISS' catalog figures right up there too.

TGWIF, you can feel that way, no need to defend how you feel to me at all. I'm not discounting your experiance at all. I had a similar feeling at a show I attended in Orlando in '83.
