    Thumbs up Batman 1966

    Always been a big fan.

Just bought a dvd at Walmart, widescreen version of 1966 Batman movie, for $7.50. Coolness. Someday I bet the series will be released. Time, lawyers, and money, but it will happen. So many of Hollywood famous and even infamous at the time clamoured to be on the show. This is to cool not to have all 120 episodes in high quality to enjoy. Ever notice when it is the villian's turn to speak, or in the villian's lair, the camera angle tilts? A twisted view indeed.
Aint no pro but I know what I like....

Agreed. Best rerun on TV when I was a kid.

But you HAVE to see the old 1940s Batman and Robin serials. Trust me.

Love the way he has to straighten his cowl in a fight, and they give him time

And Wayne Manor - it's like 4 steps from the front door to the drawing room/study, and it's in the 'burbs

The mad scientist has the mansion on the hill outside of town

And they take turns changing costumes in the back seat of Bruce Wayne's personal convertible after they throw Vicky Vale out. I had tears in my eyes

Always loved the show as a kid, and of course the movie, too. Listen to the commentary sometime, Adam West is a hoot.

    Thumbs up Re: Batman 1966

Funny you'd post this thread today. Yesterday the Congress St bridge was blocked off with a stage and tent set up. Inside the tent was the original Batmobile from the TV show and Adam West was there too. It was called Night of the Bat.

Here's the KXAN video of the event.

My brother bought that movie a while back, classic stuff, always loved that movie. It's pretty hilarious some of the stuff they use like "shark repellent bat spray", "super energy" and "atomic dust separator", lol. As if somebody just has a dust separator on hand
You can run over a Tele with a pickup truck, pick it up - and it'll still play out of tune

love the show, and I've been trolling ebay looking for a reasonably priced vintage batmobile model. I've realized batman and detective comics are some of the few non-graphic novel format ones I still seek out in comic shops (although I dig the early-90s alan grant-written ones a bit more than the 60s era comix).
