    Default Awesome unconventional covers

    Lets hear some of our favourite cover tunes which are played completely different from the originals.

    I really dig this cover of Iron Man, it shows that heaviness is all in the intent and not just the tone.

    I also really love their cover of Comfortably Numb, just try to keep an open mind to the texture they add to it.

    And while im at it.. some Radiohead as interpreted by Brad Mehldau.

    Post some of the ones you're digging.

    For him who struck thy foreign string,
    I ween this heart hath ceased to care;
    Then why dost thou such feelings bring
    To my sad spirit - old Guitar?

    Even so, Guitar, thy magic tone
    Hath moved the tear and waked the sigh;
    Hath bid the ancient torrent moan
    Although its very source is dry.

    That's why it's unconventional... Peter Tagtgren is more famous for his production work.. he's one of the best known death metal/black metal producers in Europe. He also fronts two bands. Pain is his electro/industrial/metal band.. here's his death metal band, Hypocrisy:

    I collect a lot of cover songs--one of my favorites is this one, Tad Morose's
    version of ABBA's "Knowing Me, Knowing You" --- not just a heavy remake,
    almost like a whole new song.
