I was just wondering. doesn't have to be high output or anything. just the quietest one duncan makes, or dimarzio for that matter.

Noise wise, all the covered tele neck pickups are going to be pretty quiet due to the metal cover.
Personally, I can't stand traditional tele neck pickups. I'd go with a strat stack or rails of some sort myself.
Ain't nothin' but a G thang, baby.

the quietest would be a stacked humbucker. havn't tried any though

I won't dance in a club like this,
'Cause all the girls are sluts,
And the beer tastes just like piss.

I have Dimarzio's Area T. It is good and clearer (usable by itself) than a traditional Tele neck. It blends well also....
I havent tried the quarter pound in the bridge. is it noisy?
what does "tapped" mean?

The QP is a high output single coil. It will be prone to noise and RF interference.
Tapped is short for coil-tapped. This indicates that you can have two different output levels from the pickup.
How big is the neck PU cavity? Consider a mini humbucker.

The Fender vintage noiseless is a stacked neck pickup that looks like a standard. I found the tone to be decent. I prefer a humbucker in the neck.
