    Default wiring problems

I am wiring a guitar, typical LP style wiring. Both volumes and tones work independent as they should but when I put the 3 way in the middle position only one works, I have checked and rechecked, the only thing left to do is replace the wires from the pots to the switch, help !!!!
    Every path has it's puddle...

This is the standard LP wiring diagram. Without knowing how you wired we can not provide much help.
Compare your wiring with this one try to figure out where it went wrong.
If you can provide some good picture of your wiring we might be able to help more.

Do you mean that, in the middle position, only one pickup works or only one pair of controls works?

Inspect the three-way selector switch contacts. Make sure there are no physical obstructions or dirt preventing good contact between the "leaves" of the switch.

Check that the body of the switch is not coming into contact with any conductive paint or metal/foil screening materials within the switch cavity.
