    Default Wiring HSH

I'm working on a guitar build. The body is going to be ysterhout and the neck will be a Warmoth full wenge neck. For pickups I've chosen an Invader for the bridge, a Cool Rails for the mid, and a Jazz Model for the neck.

My idea is to have two concentric 500k pots, with individual volumes for each pickup and a master tone. There will be no switch.

    How should I wire this?

    Welcome to the forum.

The circuit that you describe is, essentially, a variation on the circuit for a traditional Fender Jazz Bass. The only difference is that your pots will be stacked and of 500k DC resistance.

Imagine this http://www.seymourduncan.com/support...=std_jazz_bass with a third volume pot.

The other alternative is the Gibson non-Switchmaster ES-5 circuit. Top left, http://www.guitar-parts.com/images/gibson3.jpg

IMO, stacked pots will be very inconvenient to use - especially under pressure.

Well, I usually set and forget so it doesn't matter to me. How would the jazz bass diagram colors translate to the humbucker colors?

On the Fender bass PUs, white (or yellow) equals Hot, black equals ground.

On single conductor + braided shield humbuckers, the inner wire is hot, the steel braid goes to ground.

On SD four conductor + shield humbuckers, the black conductor is hot, red and white are linked, green is PU ground, bare is screening ground.
