Honestly, you've got a LOT of good ones, so I think your best bet would simply be to pick the most recognizable ones. Familiarity sells (even if you don't feel the familiar ones are your best work).

So you might do well with the Idol, MJ, Bowie, Morrison, the Joker, The Stones, and The Beatles.

Jimi might be another good one.

It looks like you've already got the right idea, based on how the page is layed out.

I think Michael Jackson would sell well just due to hi popularity

are you looking for ones that are your strongest work that shows your high level of detail to help get more custom orders or just famous people to grab people and sell prints of them?

if you want to go off your strongest work IMO i'd go...

    Billy Idol
    Morrison
Zeus and Kid (shows amazing detail when dealing with lots of black and shadows)
tooth (also works for sales since parents that see it might want stuff of their kids)
    Eye
    Michael Jackson
    Bowie

if you want to just sell prints, go with the real famous people like elvis etc whom everyone knows even if the detail isn't as high as a slightly less famous person.

whatever you do, bring billy idol. all your work is beyond impressive, that's just on another level even for your already high skill level.

    great stuff!

    wow dude, thanks!

I had a hard time with Billy Idol and it took me forever. I was working on him when I had to leave for my Gandfathers funeral. When I got back home, I couldnt work for long without losing motivation. I think the drawn out process is what made that one so good.

Oh, and Im bringing pretty much everything.

I was just asking which ones I should get prints made of.

Well if it helps, I'd say MJ, Morrison, and Joker for sure.

Are you hoping to get new custom gigs from this? If so, kids and dogs sell. Everyone has a kid or a dog they'd love to have remembered in a drawing. Not everyone has a celebrity.

And wherever possible show the photo the drawing is based on. That way people make the connection that you can make these from photos and they'll start thinking of all their favorite pics.

All of your work is fantastic, but I think you should start with images that are 100% original or images you know for certain will not be challenged under the “Right of Publicity”.
The Hendrix estate for example, is very protective of Jimi's image when used for monetary gain without their permission.
The artist that created the Obama “hope” poster was sued because the image was based on an AP photograph that he did not own.

I think it depends on whether you are selling what you've already made...or wanting new business. If you want new business, then I would post almost all you can show, WITH the original picture. This way people can see how talented you really are. They can look at a finished picture and think it's really good, but with the original beside it...they can see what an amazing talent you really are. Just my 2 cents worth..

I wish you all the best!!!!

I dont have a copy of that one, it was a gift to a friend.

p.s. please add about 5 bucks for shipping guys, I have to buy the tube and it weighs a bunch more than it would if I were to send it in an envelope. (so postage is more too) And we all know what happened the LAST TIME I used an envelope.

    Thanks dudes!

That's a great deal! The only hard part is picking which one I like most.
