Pickup Shielding help

I'm a virgin pup shielder. Please give me some options. So far I've seen metal tape or some sort of metallic paint. Also should I shield the pup cavity And the control cavity or just one of them. Any techniques and product brand names would be helpful. This is not a philosophical question, just a How-To.

This is the guitar in question. So, all I have to work with are the two cavities for the pups and the cavity at the back for the controls. Most examples I've seen show shielding for strat type guitars, not one like this.

Since you have two humbuckers shielding won't make a big difference. However you can shield the control cavity to reduce any RFI you might get from the controls.

I've got a 59 model in the neck and a Pearly Gates for the bridge along with a 3-way switch. When I had the pups installed it appears that the tech wired it up like a Telecaster and it's only really hum-canceling in the middle position.

If that is the case, it is not really an issue of shielding/grounding. Instead the issue is that it is wired wrong. Check your wiring against this schematic to check see if the right wires are being used http://www.seymourduncan.com/support...ic=2h_1v_1t_3w. Even though the diagram uses a LP style switch the wire layout is largely the same. Print off the diagram and make the technician do it right.

Ok, I have just finished wiring things up to match the schematic... and everything works... thankfully. But I'm still getting some hum with high distortion settings on my gear ( Digidesign Eleven Rack - which is Awesome BTW).
