    Default YJM Fury

Somebody finally put a video up on youtube showing these pickups in action.
i must say they do sound better than the dimarzio. I'm now convinced to get another Malmsteen sig strat when fender starts using them.

The sound on the vid isn't horrible but it's a little too highly processed and solid-state-ish to really get a feel for the character of these pickups. They sound like they'd be pretty killer through a cranked Marshall. Hey, for a demo it's a start!

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum, btw.

I sure wouldn't buy any Furys based on that particular clip. But I do have a set in my main guitar, and they sound amazing.

I think that clip sounds really good. I love high gain sounds. I'd like to know what amp he's using too. But the pickups shine.

What guitar do you have them in? I don't think I would ever swap out the stock HS-3/YJM set in my Yngwie Strat.

I just heard it and the sound quality was good enough for me, just enough. I really liked the crunch of the bridge but the neck sound was even better. I have a DiMarzion in the neck and now I really want to try this new one in my own guitar.

How do they compare to the HS-3/YJM DiMarzios?
Do they have the same low output?

The Furys are hotter, but not not by any means over the top. I would say fatter as well, but still, not muddy. But I tried the HS3:s with 500k pots so...

Yeah a proper demo would be great. I shouldn't talk as I have a unopened Fury neck and bridge sitting with no guitar to put them into haha.

If the new YJM Fury are hotter then I can't wait to put it in my HSS Strat paired with a JB. Has anyone tried something like that so far?

I've seen a few live vids of the man himself using them and they do sound better than the DiMarzios. They definitely have more bite to them. I'll probably be getting a neck one shortly.

He's probably just pressing down too hard on that scalloped neck.

Well, i was going through withdrawal. I loved my JEM but i missed habing the scalloped board. So i sold the jem and got another yngwie sig, and since fender still don't put the seymour's in them yet ordered a set for it. They're all installed and WOW what awesome pickups. Leaps and bounds over the Dimarzio's IMO.
and my post is useless without pics so here.

now i just need to get white knobs and switch tip.
