picked these up on a few trades this past weekend. Gibson Faded SG and Godin p1000.
Gibson will be getting a Dirtyfingers (courtesy of ricc) and the Godin will remain stock for now because the humbuggy is actually quite good.

Those Godins are a helluva bang-for-buck guitar. Congrats!

thanks guys. the SG i got from a friend of mine (a drummer), the guitar has hardly ever been played. it may even have the original strings on it from when he bought it. Sadly, it also means its not been maintained. You can tell a guitar player did not own this thing for a while. Dry fretboard, rusty strings, badly in need of a setup... not to worry, it has a good home now, it will be up and running in no time.

[QUOTE=ex-250;2599895]i love those faded brown SGs. they just look so raw and organicQUOTE]
+1. Nice SG.
Very nice! The faded SGs are probably my favourite Gibsons -- awesome guitars.

And the Dirty Fingers sounds awesome in an SG. Rock out.

*SG Update*
Fretboard de-gunked. Frets clean and shiny. Dirty Fingers installed. Fresh DR 10-46 set. Action adjusted. Intonated... Lookin great, playing great, sounding great. The DF is well suited for this guitar. Punchy, gritty, balanced, exactly what is needed for this guitar.

So glad to hear you're likin' that SG with DF.
I've got the Epi SG Prophesy with DF...."Awesome" isn't quite enough to say about it.

Nice SG man! I wonder how the necks on those faded are? Fat 50's profile?
