Fire dreams are almost always a sign of closeted homosexuality.

You need to come out and accept yourself for who you really are. We're all here for you, man, and we support you in this.

Think of all the new openings that'll be availabe to you once you accept yourself and let go.

I don't have epilepsy Mattt, you dork.

I've had dreams like this a few times, ever since I was a kid. Perhaps there will be a scientific explanation for it someday, but in the world we live in not everything can be explained by science. There are still some of us who believe in the existence of things we can't explain or understand.

There's plenty of space for everyone to believe what they choose.

I with you on the premonitions part, but I don't agree that dreams are meaningless. I've had recurring dreams that definitely mean something to me. They're directly related to my thoughts about myself and my emotional state.

    Deja Vue
Picture your memory as a file cabinet
it is sorted into long term and short term memory
if not you would always be in a panic over something that happened
    years ago

so say, for example, some memory destined for your short term memory,
such as the plate of pancakes in front of you,
ends up in your long term memory?
    ----a sort of misfile-----
you end up with a wistful child hood memory that never happened
or at least didnt exist momnts ago

now the same thing happens when you see a car crash
you really didnt foresee it happening
just kinda remembered it that way

It's like if i told you invisible unicorns existed. You couldn't disprove me because they are invisible, but you wouldn't believe me because there is no reason to.

Personally, i'd sooner believe that i have an undiagnosed medical condition than believe i have precognition.

There's been far too much evidence to support the notion that premonitions are real to simply dismiss them as a mental disorder simply because they share similar readings on a piece of equipment that cannot be sufficiently proven to measure accurately.

Look, here's the absolute universal fact - the majority of "medical science" is guesswork. Machines that measure the physical processes of the brain (electrical impulses) cannot fathom the intangible - the mind. The mind is not the brain. The brain is the meat, the mind is intangible.

So, what, a terrorist is gonna go around town spitting fire bombs here cause the milkdud has forseen it?

    Oh, god! Everybody! Orange alert!!!!!!!

    ...Ok, sarcasm mode off.

Dreams have meaning within the context of a person's mind, but not "outside". You know, in the real world. Nothing's communicating with us out there, telling us what's going to happen. Nothing in our mind is actively able to pierce the space/time continuum and tell us what tomorrow will bring.

I'm afraid the weatherman is about as good as it gets, and characters like Nostradamus are full of ****.

The human mind is a funny thing, finding meaning and connections where there are none. For the thousands of times when a person may dream or imagine something happening that never occurs, we'll latch onto the one time where by the sheer dumb luck of coincidence our "premonition" came true.

This holds no more meaning than Jesus' face in a slice of toast.
    Peace,
    Dan

Some months back, I had two dreams about a guy I used to know thirty years ago and haven't seen since, nor heard anything about him nor from him, nor had he ever crossed my mind very often. The dreams were sort of strange; he was trying to tell me something, but I couldn't understand him.

I found out about a month ago that at about the time I was having the dreams, he had mysteriously gone into seizures and died.

back when I was a teenager
my aunt came to spend the night
she got my bed and I crashed beside my mother

late in the night a shadow cast over the the bed from the direction of the blank wall separating the the two rooms

within 20 mins my aunt awoke and asked to be taken to the hospital and passed away

the old folks say the shadow as death passing thru
    I dont know

    the story is what happened
    not a third person narrative
I was there, I saw the shadow
what it means or not I do not judge
I dont think it was paranormal

I dreamed about my dad's heart attack the week before it occurred. He was taken to a larger hospital that we had never been in and every detail of the ICU was exactly as it was in my dream. My grandmother was Native American Indian and could predict a loved ones death through her dreams; she even predicted her own death due to a dream she had about a week before her passing. I have inheritated a bit of this ability and have had dreams on many occasions about bad things happening to loved ones that ended up coming true within a week or so of the dream.

Dreams are often times pretty wierd and most of the time don't amount to squat but some of them should not be ignored.
