    Default Antiquites

What kind of magnets are in the Antiquities? Do these pickups work well with overdrive?

I meant the Antiquities for Stratocaster. I don't see any info on what type of magnets are in them.

I believe (and I'm sure someone will chime [no pun intended] in if I'm wrong) the Antiquity 1s have Alnico 2 mags, the Surfers have Alnico 5s.

And yes (I know 'cause I built a Strat and put Surfers in it - and if you blend the neck and bridge it sounds a lot like Gretsch Filtertrons).

Texas Hots are alnico II...Surfers are alnico 5.

Both work find wiht overdrive if you like your Strats overdriven.
