    Default Seymour Duncan Shirts

    Hi,
This is Dewi...works for Seymour Duncan and would like to get your opinion on shirts.
We are upgrading our shirt line. Our shirts will be art driven and will have limited edition. Could you let me know what you think of these?

    Thanks in advance,
    Dee

I was wondering if this was real too.

If you're handing out SD t-shirts, I'll take one. Put me down for a XXL.

    Thanks for pointing that out.

If I can recommend a embroidered polo with the logo. I think that would be nice.

I do not recommend any gay looking Ed Hardy/Affliction crap. It is really hard for me to respect any person wearing this stuff.

M for me. Polo's are nice. Something along the lines of the old "This is Seymour Duncan".

the SD company employs MANY people for whom english is a second language ... and not only employs them, but acts in such a way as to make me believe that they understand that language need not be an insurmountable barrier to communication

one of the most impressive things that i still remember from the UGD is how they took the time and effort to have a translator (spanish) at the outdoor presentation where they had invited all of the employees out for the picnic

i cant tell from this thread if there are pics attached or not (they get blocked here at work so i'll see from home later) ... if there are, i'll give my opinions later ... in general, i love the idea of art driven limited edition SD shirts .... i hope they will be colorful and uplifting ... kinda like the T shirts Carlos Santana so often wears on stage .. i'd buy one or two if they were of that nature ... cool stage wear AFAIAC

    cheers

    Hola Dewi!

Love the idea. Without any pics I guess it would depend on the art. Are we talking something designed in house by SD? Something designed by artists endorsed by SD? I'd love to see what Yngwie could scribble up. Or maybe freelancers hired by SD to contribute something in their stlye?

I've seen similar designs from Fender along those lines. Tiki designs, hot rod car designs, retro designs, all with a Fender theme. Is that the kind of thing you're talking?

    Shirts? Absolutely.

I'd like to see some with the old logo history: the "magic S", the S with pole pieces, etc.

    I'll need some 3X.

I had a great idea for a t shirt actually. It says "World's Best Pickup Lines" at the top. Underneath are pictures of SD pickups laid out in a 3x3 grid. One column would be single coil pickups, one column would be humbuckers, and one column would be bass pickups. Stick the SD logo on there somewhere and you're done.

Feel free to steal that one ... if you do make it, I'll take an XL as a thank-you gift.

Really she's wondering how you guys feel about the fact that they'd be limited edition, and art-driven, which I think means they're not looking to be plain.

    Sounds good to me.

Maybe all the pickups layed out in some mandala type pattern with the S logo in the middle.

Unless, of course, you're not taking any outside ideas...then feel free to ignore that.

    Limited edition? How limited?

And as always, depends on the price. I'm not going to pay 100$ for a 1000 print t-shirt advertising for anyone.

I won't mind paying 15$ for a cool t-shirt that I can wear anywhere and other guitar nerds instantly know what it's all about.

I don't doubt that some of the forum bros had doubts. I would have expected her to at least have gloss befitting her status as an SD employee seeking advice from the community.

Err...I have one like that...only it's better because instead of pickups it has a Vegas Showgirl on it . It does say Seymour Duncan: World's Best Pickup Lines.

Yes, I'd like art driven limited edition shirts, given they make 'em in a size that fits me and will be reasonably priced. Can't wait to see them!

Sounds awesome as long as they're not a rip off and shipping them to the UK doesn't break some ridiculous health and safety law just like, y'know, EVERY OTHER ****ING THING ON THE PLANET.

But yeah, cool idea, I can't wait to see them.

Welcome to the forum, Dewi. It's good to have you here.
Every love that made me lose my reasoning. Every chord that made my conscience ache. Every day spent counting hours. Well, none of them comes close to singing back a song inside my head.

    I remember calloused hands and paint-stained jeans, and I remember safe-as-houses self-belief.
