    The PG and 59 have dissimilar winding patterns, and the PG coils are even different from each other, it's a different animal, but still a mammal.

    If you like the Custom 8, I think that you would like the PGn. I had both, disliked both for the same reason: sort of a raw, biting edge to it that I couldn't get past, same roughness in the tone. Now that I think about it they should go perfect together.

    But if anyone's counting, yeah, I much prefer the '59n for my own needs and did not get on with the PGn at all.
