Congrats Bro! Those Faded Vs can be really great values (that is before Gibson upped the price 300 bucks).

I had two of them- with the right piece of wood the stock pups do fine. My first one didn't need a swap at all- AMAZING piece of wood. The second needed some help- ended up with a C5 and PGn and kept the stock 300K volumes.

Hmmmm, interesting. right now, i didnt play it THAT much but... my first impressions are that the neck pup needs some tweak with the pole pieces and height... but the bridge is fine. the neck pup 496r is good, but i wanted something that can sing MORE and more sustain.
i have played a 500t before and liked it very much
i played an alder kramer baretta and it was so ****ing horny and hot sound. ahahahaha

I think the CC/Full Shred would be a good starting point if you decide to remove the Gibson pickups. Every guitar is different, so depending on how your wood sounds the CC may or may not have too many mids. If it does, a Custom or a Distortion should get you where you want to go.

Glad to see you with a guitar you love.

Are you happy to be out of Brazil, or do you miss home?

The stock pots in the majority of production line Gibsons are 300K volumes and 500K tone.

Gibson pups are designed around that 300K volume-going to 500K CAN "open them up" in a good way, but IME, the 500/496 set is not one of those that benefits- they get really harsh. The 300K "rounds them off" so to speak. In my second V, the 300K pots did a great job at taming the extreme highs of the C5, and in essence this caused the mids to be emphasized-totally negating the biggest complaint most people have about C5-"no mids".

I agree the 496 is the lesser of the two- i.e. the 500 is better bridge pup than the 496 is a neck pup.

I have clips of both Vs up on my soundclick- no extreme metal distortion, but

I don't often say this - but for you bro, I'm gonna recommend Gibson 500t for the bridge. Leave the 300k volume.

yeah, i totally loved 500t in the bridge. i already have a nice experience with it so, i just wanted to confirm i liked it
for the neck.... i was thinking about getting a gibson pickup. just to leave it stock... BUT ... im not into gibson pickups, SO, i dont know which ones has which feautres, eqs, sound
which one of the gibson neck pickups has the most singing tone? Singing and sustain. smooth bass, moderated but not scooped middles, and singing highs?

i didnt messy around with the gibson yet as im totally out of time for it and trying to focus on my german courses but something ill sure ill do is swap positions between the toggle switchh and the second tone. ahahah to me theres no reason to use 2 tones. 1 tone, and one volume is enough. and the toggle switch is too far from my hand. so ill switch it q: p

Jeff B Interesting data you got there
thank you very Much q: )
ill look forward to it if i decide to swap pickups on the V

Are you happy to be out of Brazil, or do you miss home?

Im really Happy to be OUT of MY PLACE. hahahahah get rid of my family a little bit.
    and out of brazil too.
im not missind brazil nor my family. im just concerned about my parents health.
besides of that, im only missing 3 things :
    1 - brazilian women
    2 - a normal bathroom
    3 - WATER

ahahahahahahah that sounds weird but theres a bathtub here that i almost fell on the ground twice. and pissing in seat down position instead of standing up is completely annoying.

plus... i wont say that german girls or european girls arent nice. i just didnt have any experience with them at all.
    ahahahhhahahhah At least not YET
but physically i noticed the following differences(compared to brazilian women and women in general that fits my prefferences)

1 - German girls are tall
2 - they have beutiful gorgeous legs
3 - they are beautiful(but that is completely subjective)

those are the 3 things i liked
now the other things i didnt like that much or disliked.

4 - they lack some good BUTT
5 - they lack some hips
    6 - i forgot. ahahahaahahah

ah, the 6th thing i something in general that at least make me wonder whats going on behidn this behaviour
people here in german are rarely seem together i mean, couples.wifes, bf and gf, fiancees. you almost never see them hadn in hand, hugging or kissing
thats... just insane at a first sight . q: s
at least this is my 6 cents ahhahaahah

AH, theres something i liked here too about the girls... they have an interesting charm.
its something , like culture, thats cant be compared... i like both charms
its like having a stratocaster and a les paul
the strato with its one piece maple neck and fretboard, with 3 single coils
and theh les paul being an all mahogany beast, with brazilian rosewood fretboard and humbuckers.(needless to say which one is the brazilian girl charm ahahahaha )

they are just different tastes . you can like both, or dislike both, or like only one
    q: )

something that annoyed the hell out of me is that every ****ing one here looks at me like im turkish
    **** !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!
that said, im realizing that ill need to start talking in german as soon as possible so people will know who i really am, and start stop the stereotyping about being turkish= *******
cause that difficults the approach to the girls... and in fact, difficult the approach overal.
    q: /

Im just researching and i do like astrology a lot and from all stuffs i ever read about, thats the one that matches me the most.
so, im really liking the idea to move definitelly to usa.
i was researching and i think its much more like me than other places i ever been
plus, USA COUNTRY is the same zodiacal sign as i am, Cancer.
but it has different ascendant. Sagittarius . ahahah i have scorpio in my ascendant.
and cancer again in my moon
    enough of astrology q: p
