I think Hispanic means something with Spanish origins and Latinos are anything between the United States and South America. How off am I?

Hispanics are natives or descendats of people born in the Iberian Peninsula, basically Portuguese and Spanish.

Latinos are people who descend from people born in countries where their languages have evolved from Latin but mostly are assumed to have a bigger Spanish component to their heritage and in American continent are assumed to be only residents of South America.

Me? I'm Hispanic due to where I live, Latino due to my linguistic heritage, Caucasian-Hispanic for my genetics.
