Wenn du einen Duncan Custom TB/SH-5 über hast, ich wäre gerne interessiert.
habe bislang leider keinen zum Tauschen gefunden. :-(((((((((

well, it actually comes from a lifetime of exposure to german TV, having relatives in austria and studying it since i was umm.. six i believe, then i took english in 4th grade of primary school instead of german. thought, heck i know it all already why not something diferent hehe. i understand everything, my spoken german is so so, while i have to struggle to write something properly lolOriginally Posted by Zerberus

Ja, aber ich gucke ständig bei ebay nach Duncan Pickups.
Das muss ich übersehen haben!
PS.
@Zerberus:
Dafür erwarte ich natürlich einen ausführlichen Bericht über den Pickup, wenn er da ist, gell ;-))))))

I understand... completely!

I think the Sh7 was the Seymourizer II, which was a neck pickup. The Seymourizer II was renamed the Duncan Distortion neck model.Originally Posted by Nightburst

yup the sh7 was the seymourizer and is now the sh6n
as far as the silverbird i believe the tone is somewhat similar to a jazz
oh and thanks for showing me how much my german has gone down hill![]()
I bought 2 in the 80,s and have them fitted to a basswood +maple cap body non trem guitar I made. These pup's are one of the sweetest clear pups I have ever played.I wanted to buy some more about 10 years ago and was surprised that they were discontinued. The sound is clear and uncompressed and bell like. The pup is splitable giving a realy good single coil strat type sound. In fact I use the neck pup in the split position 75% of the time.I have strats also but I prefer the silverbird split sound. Both combined give a very usable quack sound similer to strat pos 4.The bridge position pup can sound a bit too lively but add a bit of gain and it settles. These pup's realy cut through. Maybe not great at getting a thick drop D sound but they make a great blues pup. I would like to hear them on a mahogany bodied guitar.
The down side is that there is nowhere to hide as every note is articulated clearly.Okay SD bring em back.

Fat Strat into a Soldano, always.
I can tell you about the seymour silverbird sh-9 humbucker. Here's what Patrick Kirshtner from Seymour Duncan wrote to me:
Wow, now that's a blast from the past!
This is a very obscure and rare pickup that we only made for a short
period of time...it was called the SH-9 SILVERBIRD. It has tele bobbins,
alnico II Exposed Blade magnets and is high output. This pickup is very
hard to fit into most guitars because it is bigger than a regular
humbucker (or even a trembucker). You would most likely have to route
whatever guitar you have to be able to fit that and there are no
mounting rings made that will fit that so they would have to be custom
made. They ARE cool looking though and sound great.
I installed the sh-9 in the bridge position of my Ibanez Reb Beach Model RBM1 and it sounds awesome. Truly a rock pickup, warm sounding with plenty of overtones. Hope this could help.
