    Default C8 metal lead tone

since ive been trying to focus out the bad spots in my tone and bring up the best here is an attempt to demonstrate the lead tone ive had for awhile and the newer rhythm tone both made with the C8

anyways im 100% happy with my crunchy metal lead tone, nice sustain and presence. dont ever need to use the neck pu anymore.

    peace!

Man, you've really got your tone dialled in, it's pretty sweet.

Just out of curiosity, how loud are you running your amp there?
Every love that made me lose my reasoning. Every chord that made my conscience ache. Every day spent counting hours. Well, none of them comes close to singing back a song inside my head.

sounds pretty friggin rad man! good job!

Didn't expect the C8 to be that crisp honestly, it's always described as being so thick.

Love the rhythm tone, the lead sound is just a tad on the thin side, it could use some more mids.

    But overall it sounds great!

I think it all sounds great too. Great for the metal tone you're after. Your C8 is really crisp. The most important thing is that you're happy with it. Rock on.

It's perhaps a little less organic than my personal preference but putting my irrelevant personal preference aside, it's heavier than an elephants d!ck. Very pro.

@Kam i record pretty low actually, about 2 on the master.
DSL sounds great at low volumes with the bass boost engaged

    thanks everyone else!!
    still working on it.
its great when you guys give me feedback cause everyone has something that will in turn affect my tone.
i now know i need a tad more mids, i agree just like one more on the mid knob.
maybe a little less gain so its a little less crunchy and artificial, less boost.
i will eventually have a fuller tone in return!

    cheers!

LOL! I cant listen to this clip right now, (at work) but I wanted to mention that one of the beautiful things about the C8 is that it is organic. Has a warm, alive vibe to it in most cases and also lets the personality of the guitar shine thru.

Surface, I cant wait to check it out! I always love your clips!! Im considering putting a C8 in a Gunslinger.
Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

I was referring more to the processing/amp choice. It sounds like a good pickup though.

i agree its all about my boosts and amp not so much the pickup at all.
    on different amps its different

cool thing is im not stuck on one sound for the pu, its like clay and can be molded with different amps.
