CHORUS: BOSS CE2
DELAY: BOSS DD3 or DD5 I have a DD3 I have had this for over 10 years. It works great it is dependale. The only thing I would like to have is reverse delay. the DD3 does not have this but I understand the DD5 does.

Why no one notice DD6 while noticing DD3 and DD5????????????????????????????
I have a DD6 and like it very much, for me it's the best delay, although i've never heard neither DD3 nor 5... ???

Chorus - Small Clone or Boss CE-2
Flanger - The vintage ADA one's kick ass, I think VH used one in "The Cradle will Rock"
Delay - Any boss DD-whatever. I have a Boss RV-3 which has Reverb and Delay. I'm selling it because I just dont use it and I want to buy a new head and cab.
Those are my recommendations

In mother Russia, pedal overdrives you.

The Fulltone Choralflange is a subtle pedal, but features a few different ways of tweaking it's chorus/flange/rotary speaker sounds. I like mine.
Of course, the ADA Flange is the very best Flanger, but rare to find.
Just get a Line 6 green delay. It's a classic, and even if you're not big on delay, you'll dig the pedal. You just can't get those old analog delay sounds out of most Boss or rackmounted delays, but the Line 6 gives you a pretty accurate reproduction of some of those sounds you've heard on records, but never knew what they were.

all the flanging on the Van Halen records is an MXR...
shread dogg...check your PM's
thanks guys!!!!!!!!!! i was thinkin' about the following pedals :
chorus= ibanez sc-10 or boss ce-2 for clean and leads!
flanger=boss hf-2 or boss bf-2 for that funky pat travers tone !
delay=boss dd-3 or dod analog delay 680 to make things nice and fat!

The original MXR Flanger, long discontinued. If you can find one, look at paying between $250-350 depending on condition. However, they did reissue it a few years ago. Sadly, that's no longer in production either. Although, I have a sneaking suspicion that is the MXR EVH Phase 90 sells well, maybe a striped MXR Flanger won't be far behind.Originally Posted by joelap

the Dunlop MXR Flanger sucks...Shnook is right $250-350 and still rising!!!

Shreddog, for chorus/flanger, go with an EHx Electric Mistress. You'll have both in the same box. Can be found for 80-90$.
Delay ? The Boss is the standard.
