    Default Pair of PATB-1 Humbuckers....

First of all, I have a PATB-1b and PATB-1n that were customized to fit into a non-Tremolo guitar.

Now, if I were to put the PATB-1 set into a Fender Blacktop Jaguar... how would it sound? What kind of tones would that get me?

    Good idea? Bad idea?

    Here's the guitar's Specs:

    -2 Humbuckers
    -22 Frets
    -24 inch short scale
    -Alder Body
-Bolt-on Maple Neck with Rosewood Fingerboard
-Gibson style tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece

Just give them a try! In the end only YOU are the one to decide whether you like them or not in that particular guitar.

Haha, I just was looking for some info before I go through the trouble of putting them in an Alder guitar.

Does SeymourDuncan.com still have recommended guitar body woods for their pickups, somewhere? A few years ago, I remember they'd suggest if a particular pickup was more suited for mahogany, maple, or alder, for example.

I haven't really looked into pickups for awhile.

They do still have tone recommendations for pickups and types of guitars, but they are just guidelines. I have a basswood guitar and the PATB sounds GREAT in it.....the best pup I have ever put in there. I think it would sound good in a lot of guitars, as long as you can get it to fit physically.

Go ahead and put it in there.
