I didn't even know Seymour had built amps. Looks like it's a tube amp and for $375, it's not alot of money to throw out.

How do they sound? Is $375 the average price for one or is that on the high or cheap side? Kind of thinking about riding up to Nashville to check it out.

    Hey, that's here in town.

Yeah, they're kind of like those Randalls as far as you switch out the modules for different amp tones.

I just noticed where that amp is. Philip Austin has it. He's only about 2-3 miles off of I-24 at exit 78.

Does Phillip know you know where he lives? Should he be scared?

I do know where he lives, and he shouldn't be scared, but that's not at his house. At one point in time the band I was in rehearsed right next to his house in an old store from the early 1900's.

Philip used to own a music store here in town, and also ran a bar called "Mainstreet Music Emporium" here in town for years. I played in a band with one of his nephews for a few years, and also was good friends with another one of his nephews.

Philip now runs a place that configures and installs sound systems in people's homes, and that's where this is located. Apparantly he also still dabbles with music equipment as well, seeing as how he has the SD amp listed on Craigslist from that business name.

My SD Quad box - 400 Watt Stereo. I came here looking for info and never went away.

How strange; The two people on the board with " Golden " in their user name have SD AMP products.

I have an 80's pickup catalogue which was a fold-out paper thing like a map. All the pickups were on one side and the other side was a big poster of Seymour and Jeff Beck out in the desert with a hot-rod and several Duncan convertible amps. I can't find the exact picture, but this is from the same photo shoot. I also found a pic of another amp bearing the Duncan name, the 84-40, which was 4 x EL84s in a combo with either 1 x 12" or 2 x 10" speakers and probably about 30 watts. A friend of mine has an 84-40 and it's a great little amp.

You know how the GK800RB was pretty badass?

Except that one channel was pretty much unusable and the EQ was pretty limited and the most you could realistically coax out of it was 300w?

The Duncan amp allowed you to run full range into two channels- you could run 300w x 2. That was awesome for running two big kids' cabs at one time. You could also BiAmp it as well- not that I was ever into that sort of thing AND you could bridge the two channels together giving you 600w into 8 ohms.

    That amp is a mother****er.

The downside is that it's a mother****er. It's around 35-40 pounds of iron. I have two- and they're both kind of old- they're a bit saggy now- but they still slay.
