    Default yet another p-rail question

hey guys ive been following this forum for a few months now (though im still very new) and this is my first post here. i have a jackson dinky with emg hz's in it and having grown out of playing metal/ getting tired of my tone, i decided to get new pickups. after some searching and an awesome deal i ended up with the p-rail set. with this i plan to get a set of triple shots and push/pulls for phase and series parallel. while geeking out on this forum i discovered thatthere is in fact such a thing as magnet swapping and have become very attracted to that idea. i have yet to install the pups so i wanted to know a few things about this process first. i get that mag swapping for most pickups is as easy as (carefully) unscrewing the bottom plate and (carefully) replacing the old one for the new.

1)however, is this process the same for p-rails?
    2)are uoa5's the best choice?
    3)what dimensions for the mag?
and 4) i'm totally new to this so can i do this or should i stop while im ahead?

    thanks guys

Blueman will chime in here too, but the p90 section has 2 magnets, and the rails 1. All of these can be swapped, with mismatched pairs in the p90 for better tonal balance if the guitar needs it. Its best to install the pickups and play first, as you won't know yet what bugs you (if anything) about the tones you get. Once you have an idea of where they lack then you can make a choice on mag swapping

Magnet swapping can be very useful and is easy. Prails are a little harder, but it is still really simple to swap magnets.

However, put in the pickups first and play with them a lot to determine if you actually want to change anything. There is no 'best' pickup or magnet as such, only what you like. If you can describe what is 'missing' in your tone then people on the forum can guide you towards what you want.

Degaussing is also a good way to change the tone of a pickup.

sry for being lame by bumping this thread...
my ordered parts are coming in and my friend needs the diagram for the above idea (p-rails, 2 triple shots, 1 vol (500k push/pull for series/parallel), and one tone (500k push pull for phase switching). the diagram for the SD site won't show up no matter how many times i try it. can any wiring expert help me out? i will be eternally grateful!!!
