    Default FX loop trouble

    Hey all,

I recently picked up a brand new Marshall DSL401 combo for next to nothing, love the amp, but i have a problem.

I tried using the fx loop for the first time today, but my effects didnt come through at all. Am i connecting things right?

FX send >>> visual sound H2O >>> FX return

I put the fx level up to ten on the front of the amp, but it sounded just the same as the dry signal. Am i doing something wrong? Or is the amp faulty?

    Any advice much appreciated, Richey

Is the loop footswitchable? that might be screwing with it, if it's switched off.

only the channels and reverb are footswitchable, the fx loop just has a mix level, i really cant see anything wrong. its odd.
