Default Love my HotRails Tele, what do u recommend for my PRS?

    I play rock.

I put in a Hot Rails tele in my tele and it sounds great. Awesome tone, has great presence without sounding like an icepick, great distortion and cleans ain't too bad either.

I'd like to put in an equivalent in my PRS. Obviously, my tele is alder and my PRS is maple top w/ mahogony body. So given these wood differences, what kind of pup is gonna give me that same drive and tone that the Hot Rails tele will? And why?

    thnx

I have a Hot Rails Tele and I love it!!!! I use a Duncan Distortion in my PRS McCarty and its hotter than the rails in the Tele. A Duncan Custom would probably be closer to the Tele Hotrails.........

    ok thanks,
just to clarify you mean the custom though and not the "custom custom", right?

    and what's the difference b/w SH-5 and TB-5?

Regular Custom. The TB-5 is F-spaced or Trem-spaced as we say in Duncanland.
I used to hate ceramic pickups but the Custom has turned out to be my fav bridge pickup. I've used the Tele Hot Rail for years and it is a great sounding pickup as well.
