    If it didn't have that ugly, dysfunctional headstock, I might actually want one. And also if some Gibson Mini-Humbuckers could fit in.

    the only pup that is direct fit replacement is the GFS Wild Dog Oversized Overwound Rauchy Humbucker , I put them in my Ultra III , now its like Les Paul

    I may have to consider that. I have the Ultra VI, The same guitar with a 30" scale and a wicked silverburst finish. The FG-101's give it incredible tone, but I'm thinking I might need something with a little more power. My last guitar had the Duncan Performer Detonator pickup, the Invader clone and it kicked my ass .

    www.guitarfetish.com has a lot of good options for those of us who are "financial challenged".

    What do you use in the middle? I'd consider keeping the same p/up since I love its tone for soloing and for stoner grunge (The VI is tuned an octave down from the III).

    Not to get off the subject, but Does anyone have a problem with the Tone knob on the III? I don't notice any difference on the VI when I turn it..
