    Default Hot Rod Humbucker Set

Hey guys. I just got a set of the HR Humbuckers installed. They seem much brighter than my stock pickups and there's really not that much dynamic difference. I am wondering if there installed correctly? Is there anything I can do to drop off some of the treble highs.? I have a maple neck so I have to believe that has something to do with it. Thanks

    Use 300 or 250K pots.

yeah, you'll probably want to go with 250K-300L pots; until you've got that organised you should be able to work around it via the tone control/s and amp EQ.

treble on 4, mid on 7 and bass on 2 (for example, obviously) might look weird, but you've got to trust your ears

How close are they to the strings? That can make a big difference.

This. Lowering them, even a little, might be all you need to do.

I think JB's sound much better, fuller and warmer, with A2 magnets.
