    my wife and son each have their own nook ... my assessxment 6 months on is hat they are both underwhelmed with the entire deal ... they work fine and are easy to set up and get synched with the B&N website ... downloads are a breeze ... they are both voracious readers ... but they do not seem 'drawn' into the experience ... they'd gather dust if they werent housed in protective covers

    Hmmmm, I will get a Nook based on what I hear here. I didn't know they are Android based.

    I also think B&N is worth supporting since they have a bunch of nice shops that comes in handy if you need a book quickly. If we all spend all the cash on Amazon that won't fly for long.

    Yeah barnes and noble is my token : "Oh crap I forgot to get you a gift so here" store.

    Its nice, good atmosphere, coffee, 2600 mag carrier, and all kind of nice stuff.
