    Default selling gear at Guitar Center on consignment?

    i am thinking about taking my gear to guitar center and selling it on consignment. has anyone here ever dealt with guitar center this way?

    I wouldn't, just me.

    If I don't want to deal with shipping etc for eBay and just want to do a local sale ... just use Craigslist or similar.

    Good steal of the week ... 2010 White Gibson Les Paul Custom for $1,500 ... God Bless idiots who max out their credit cards over the summer and get buyer's remorse (ie. screwed) come winter. I was too late on that one

    For what it's worth, GC's policy is to give you 1/4 of retail, mostly because they're already paying 50% of retail. Consignment or outright sale, that's about what to expect.
