    Default Favorite Christmas song? Christmas movie?

    Movie: Die Hard. Song--lots of good ones like Little St. Nick by The Beach Boys, The First Noel by Crash Test Dummies, but I think this gets the nod as my fave.

    Pretty good production for a no name band in 1981.

    Movie = A Christmas Story

    It's not Christmas until I see it.

    There can be only one.

    I will also accept any Christmas music sung by Frank Sinatra. Also, the other day in a store I heard a version of Joy to the world played by a really heavy jazz group.. they took a cheesy christmas song and turned it into a burner uptempo modal tune, and the sax player's lines were so angular and delightful. I wish I could find it again, if all christmas music were like that I'd listen all year round.

    I don't like this time of year much, but I'll always watch "A Christmas Story" if it's on TV. And I like Mel Torme's "A Christmas Song", with the Carpenter's version of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" a close second.

    Every year we watch Christmas Vacation, and then the wife puts on The Family Man.
