Default Any BL USA L500XL/R fans?

What can I expect? They'll be an option for my H500 and H1001 guitars, with my other options being a Duncan Distortion and Invader in the bridge and Duncan Jazz and Lace Deathbucker in the neck. They are mahog body/maple neck, 25.5" scale, and rosewood. They'll be used with the Sig:X and Lynch Box cab. Thanks for opinions/experiences and have a good day.

The BL USA L500XL is a good pickup, especially as it is cheaper than a Duncan or DIMarzio. Hot, but not too hot, and, unlike the Invader, as good for lead as it is for rythm.
Not as good as a Super Distortion or JB IMO but if I had a choice I would take the L500XL over an Invader or Distortion.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "flat sounding" please?

    Any other opinions/experiences?

    Yeah, its not flat sounding.

One thing it will do - if you like your pinch harmonics, this pickup makes them completely effortless.

Sorry dude, the USAs are okay, the B&Bs are better. If you are looking at buying some I would go with the B&Bs. If you already have the USAs, give them a shot, they aren't bad.

He specifically asked about the BL USA pickup. Why is it when someone on the internet asks about BL USA pickups someone has to completely ignore the question and promote B&B pickups?

So is it sharp, round, jagged, what? Saying "it's not flat sounding" doesn't really tell me much. Sorry if I seem rude, I don't mean to be, but I'd like to know exactly what you mean by "flat". Thanks.

Because Bill & Becky deserve the business, I guess? Jczwarski or whatever his name is suing Bill so he couldn't use the Bill Lawrence name? Dunno... but it is a tad irritating tbh, as it's kinda off topic. Imagine someone starting a Fender Strat thread and someone mentions "get a G&L."

Okay. What makes the B&B's better [tonally]? What is the difference between BL USA and B&B's? Not like I haven't already bought the BL USAs, but I'm color me curious.

I only have the B&B's XL500s so take this with a grain of salt as I've never tried/played the BL USAs. I wouldn't describe them as harsh or sharp though, but really transparent. If you have a bright guitar, it comes out and may manifest itself as thin or ear-piercing. Kind of like the JB in that regard; people love them and they're really popular but they need to be dialed in. Also, the XL500s are high output, so they warm up as you turn the volume/tone knob down slightly. To me, it's a great pickup and extremely versatile as long as you know how to handle it in each situation.

I've used both PUs and found them very similar.

They are great for brightening up dark guitars. They sound great under low tunings. Have great clarity and just enough give.

For the money they are pretty unbeatable....
