We will deal with this worthless bastard. Arizona is tough, not one of those commie sissy states like Mass or Cali.... we will nuke him.
What kind of a ****tard kills innocent people?

"Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished." Isaiah 13:16
"Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." Numbers 31:17-18

Where's my facepalm smilie? This willl have to do for now.

Man this blows. Things like this always seem to have a terrible impact on the whole nation. This sort of thing usually causes quiet celebrations at HCI and the VPC. They view it as fuel for their fires. People with a real moral compass just dread this sort of thing like a normal human being would instead.

So sad... RIP to all of those who senselessly lost their lives today. I hope this guy gets beaten to death in prison. Harsh, but this kind of thing seriously pisses me off.

Tragic and senseless.

^ holy nuclear tsar thread bomb!

One thing that I see is a few people on this thread who sound a lot like the shooter. Rage feels empowering doesn't it.
At the other end of the spectrum are the people who just say he is just unbalanced or crazy, tsk tsk.
Take any population that will have a few nuts, mix in a gun culture and cook the stew with vitriolic extreme rhetoric filled with violent references - like putting Congresswoman Giffords in a gunsite - and paranoid ravings... let's see do you think something like this might happen?

Don't worry, I'm sure this guy will plead insanity and be out of jail in 25 years. My wife had me watching "The First 48" and it's unbelievable how much damage people can do and not get the death penalty.

Not really. I stand by it.
Passionate desire for revenge is different from "righteous anger."
I feel the anger as well. But the difference is we don't act on our feelings. The main point I'm making is that this restraint isn't present in everyone. Inflame the rage in the wrong kind of people and this is the result you get. And the early indication is that once again an unstable person was inspired by the hate filled violent rhetoric of certain politicians, pundits and personalities to the point of gun violence. Remember the guy who opened fire in that Unitarian Church to kill the liberals there? Just another nut case... There are a lot of nut cases out there and for some the difference between them and the examples I cite is a very thin line.
For the record I would embrace the death penalty in a case like this where there are numerous eye witnesses and no real possibility that an innocent person might be put to death, But, sadly, in some of those states where some people are so proud that they kill so many convicted murderers it turns out that the flaws inherent in any human system of justice and law have resulted in innocent people being killed by the state.
