I have been considering buying a Custom Custom for a while. I really like the a2p set so I think the CC would just give me another level of a2p. Let me know how it works for you.



That should rock in your SE Scott. You turned me onto that set nearly 10 years ago and they are still 2 of my favorites ever.

Seems like the CCb would be a bit lifeless and boomy in a semi. I'd be inclined to use something a bit brighter with more bite and character than the CC. Maybe a Screamin Demon or a '59b.
I can't argue with the A2P in the neck, awesome neck pup.

I have a love/hate relationship with a Custom Custom that I have in an Epiphone Les Paul. It's still a great pickup though.

It will be interesting to see how the mids of the CC and the semi-hollow body interact.


There's precedent for CC in semi-hollow. Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme, for example.
