    The above posts say why. Im posting with a tip. If it bothers you and if it is like a black ink stamp on, try wiping it with a cotton ball and tiny bit of rubbing alcohol.. I did that on the black logo that say "by Squier" on my Strat and the "by Squier" rubbed right off..
    Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.
