I like it just fine. Bright, clear, punchy, edgy. Somehow not as edgy as the Burstbucker 3, IMO. Good for a LP type guitar. Dunno if I'd put it in any bright guitars.

The one I played it in had a coil split switch. Thin single coil sound by itself, but not unlike a tele middle position when used with the neck pickup.

I'm considering there for my epi lespaul. Maybe a BB pro in the neck and a 57 classic in the bridge. Thing is there are so many choices and most of them sound like they could good. My les paul is fairly warm sounding.

They came stock in my 2005 Faded LP Standard. I love them, as they have just the right amount of output, warmth, and edge.

I like them so much that I'm even thinking of putting a set in my Faded V, but I'm not sure if it would work as well for me without the maple cap. I'm interested in opinions on this.

What don't you like about your current pickups?

a little too dark sounding(more so) the neck pickup. They are the stock pick ups. I defiantly want low to medium output pickups. Somewhere in the range of vintage. I would like to have a balance between warmth and definition.

I don't think you could go wrong with a set of Duncan '59s.

I have considered those but am thinking of with going with Gibson because they do have a distinct sound. I have used the 59sin another guitar and liked them very much, but I think at in the bridge position I would want something slightly warmer.
