New neck humbucker

Right now I have a C22J in there. I love it for its fatness and smoothness, but I hate it for the same reason as well. First off it has way to much bass. I can take it off via amp controls, but that completely throws off the bridge. Second, it's too dull. There's no attack, and its just sort of meh. Not much personality. I want that same fullness in the mids, but less boomy bass and more attack. That brings me to the PG and the A2P, and the PG moreso for that extra attack. That might be overkill though, because my guitar is the brightest guitar in the world! It has a maple neck with neck-through construction. Will the PGn be too bright for what I'm looking for?
