Yes, that is correct. Stock JB. Nothing fancy. A JB in an alder superstrat with maple fingerboard in to a hot-rodded amp gets the tone pretty easy. I have read where he stated the JB in his #1 at the time was wound a little hotter than normal spec. One of those happy accidents I guess.

He used Soldano's around Dancing Under Cover forward and now uses Diezels, IIRC.

When did he switch to Diezels? He and Carlos were both playing through Soldano SLOs in 2010 when I saw them on Infestation tour.

Rig appeared to be what was shown in Guitar World magazine. Only his pedals were not what was shown, per se. I can't remember exactly what he had there.

Great show. Hadn't seen them since 1995.

I have that issue somewhere next to me. I'll dig it up and post what they say he's using.

Maybe he went back to Soldanos. Diezels were mentioned in 2007. I always dug his tone through the SLO.

Ok, here's what Guitar World has DeMartini using, and the issue is May '10.

All of his guitars have a "Seymour Duncan Custom Signature RTM" except for the Snakeskin styled guitar, which has a JB.

As for amps, he's using a Soldano SLO-100 into Marshall 1960 cabs loaded with Celestion 25-watt Greenbacks.

Pedals: Korg DT-10BK Tuner -> BOSS SD-1 Super Overdrive (which they say is modified) -> MXR Carbon Copy -> Tone Box Skull Crusher -> Analog Man King of Tone -> Seymour Duncan SFX-10 Deja Vu Tap Delay

DeMartini has said that on this last album and tour he really tried to get that Out of the Cellar/Invasion Of Your Privacy tone, so what he's using now probably gets really close to his classic tone. I like the new RATT album and especially the guitar work.

Nice to see he's keeping it simple, and really glad he's back with Soldano's. I like the new album too. Sounds like classic Ratt 'N Roll to me, though I still miss Robbin.

thanks for the replies. I am a big ratt and warren fan and always felt he was very UNDERRATED as a player!
soldano's are sweet amps, i like a good marshall first but wouldnt kick a soldano out of bed. i also dig the old AOR pro tube series laneys.
ANyone here try the RTM yet? i heard it is a JB with a alnico II and maybe wound a little hotter? i have a JB at 17.8K wonder if a alnico II that one if i can get a idea of the RTM tone?

Ed, your JB you have there is about what Warren said his was at on the meter. I know it was over 17k. You should get in the RTM ballpark with an A2 mag swap in there (the RTM is 17.6k). I never played one but from what I understand, he used it on the latest Ratt album and in all his current touring axes.

It's things like this that make me want to give the JB another chance. I love DeMartini's playing and tone... Have since I was a little **** bouncing off the walls to RATT music videos on MTV.

Yeah, I saw that from another response. Had no idea he went back with Soldano's. Like I said, it was 2007 when I saw he was using Diezels.

I briefly got to meet Warren after the show. I don't recall him using a Carbon Copy that night because I have one and didn't see it in the pedals on the floor. I was basically right above him on a balcony about 10 feet above and 15 feet in front of the stage.

I've been wanting to get an RTM to put in one of my guitars, but haven't gotten around to it. Something to look forward to.

    Pics with Warren.

First time I saw them back in the day they had walls of Laneys.. First time Id seen Laneys.. Have always loved his tone and playing..
I miss Robbin, but Carlos is a beast too! Saw him back in the day with QR. Same concert matter of fact.
Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.
