    To be fair, King's X isn't really that metal, but the tones Ty was getting sounded great. crisp and well defined, despite being in drop C. I'd be really interested to know what kinda amp he was using there.

    Dude..if I was gonna do metal ( meaning grind/Black/Nu etc.) I'd want a hopped up '90 for sure.

    Well metal type sound lol. I see they have a high output P rails also. Might be cool.

    If you got a decent amp cranked to 11 you can make a piezo sound metal.
