Are there any specific advantages to having the tone and volume pots be different values in a single humbucker setup?
500K vol/250K tone
250K vol/500K tone
I know that the 250K bleeds more treble to ground, and a 500K bleeds less to ground, but is the range/sweep of the different value pots more ideal for volume versus tone? Does a 250K tone pot have more control over the range of tone roll-off than a 500K?
I noticed the latest EVH Wolfgangs have 500K vol/250K tone and it got me to wondering if there's a specific reason for them not both being 500K.
